It comes with tons and tons of features for all kinds of outdoor activities that you can track with the Suunto 9 and today in our review and detailed Suunto 9 vs Garmin Fenix 5 comparison, we are going to see how it is best and how it goes with the Fenix 5.

Screen and Design: The design of the Suunto 9 is somewhere between classic and modern look, you can easily take this to your meetings as well, and it can also go to your party look as well.

It comes in a circular design the body of the Suunto 9 is made up of Stainless Steel and the case is made up of Glass-fiber reinforced polyamide material. Suunto 9 was released to the market in June 2018. And it is gaining fame from that period of time.

The resolution of the screen Suunto 9 is 320 x 300 pixels, we cannot find the information about the pixel density of the Suunto 9 anywhere on the internet and not on the box itself.

The glass of the screen of the Suunto 9 is protected by the Sapphire Crystal, which means it can easily handle the minor scratches without much problem.

The brightness of the screen can be controlled from the setting itself, and you can even save the battery by using the power saver mode that comes with the watch.

The only problem with the display of the Suunto 9 is that it easily gets fingerprint marks on itself, that can create some problems. And there is no lift to wake system with the watch, you have to press the button or use the settings to always on.

The things which don’t turn off are Default watch face, Heart Rate Monitoring Sensor, Vibrations Alerts and Notifications, the GPS still runs on the background but not all time, it just turns on for some seconds and then turned off itself.

In the second mode (Endurance), the GPS turning on and off cycles wants to 60 seconds, and the screen brightness goes to 20% and the Heart Rate sensor will be turned off, and everything else will be the same, and this setting increases the battery backup of the watch from 25 hours to 40 hours.

In the third mode (Ultra Mode), the cycle of GPS goes to 120 seconds, the heart rate monitoring sensor is turned off, vibration alerts will be turned off, and the screen brightness goes to 10% and the screen will be turned off after every 10 seconds. This setting will extend the battery backup to 120 hours.
